Robin Potter Nolasco is the Special Collections Librarian and Kislak Reading Room Manager within the University of Miami Libraries. She oversees public services for the Kislak Center, providing teaching, outreach, and reference assistance related to the library’s extraordinary Distinctive Collections to students, faculty, and visiting researchers. She is involved with acquiring rare books and archival materials, curating exhibitions and assisting with related events, and supporting grants and other programs for visiting researchers. She will serve on the Digital Collections Committee, the Exhibitions Council, and other committees and groups within librarianship and the arts. She has been with the University Libraries since 2023.

Nolasco holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Queens College, City University of New York, with a concentration in Archives and Preservation of Cultural Heritage Materials. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from The Cooper Union School of Art, with an interdisciplinary foundation and informal concentrations in Photography and Drawing, and she is a practicing artist and illustrator. She has held roles as a reference and instruction librarian and subject liaison in a variety of higher education institutions, such as Brooklyn College, The University of New Mexico, and most recently, Hampshire College in western Massachusetts.
