Jordan Jedry (they/them) joined the University of Miami Libraries faculty in April 2023 as the Purdy Project Archivist. In this role, they oversee the daily activities of the processing of the Florida archival collections, including the arrangement and description of these materials in all formats. Jordan also helps to ensure the creation and online publication of finding aids and other access tools related to the Florida collections.

During their graduate studies, Jordan worked at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) as a Student Archives Assistant, where they took on archival arrangement and description responsibilities for several collections housed at the largest health sciences repository in the Pacific Northwest. Jordan also co-curated the “Treat Local: The Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland, 1884-2020” exhibit during their time at OHSU.

Jordan completed their Master of Library Science, with a concentration in Archive Studies, at Emporia State University in August 2022. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in French Language & Culture, from DePaul University.
