Joining the University of Miami Libraries in 2012, Glen Wiley currently holds the position of Associate Dean for Access and Discovery Services. Glen previously worked at Cornell University Library, where he held a variety of positions including Director of Cataloging & Metadata Services. He has also worked in the libraries at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and North Carolina State University.

Glen earned his M.S. in Library and Information Science and his B.F.A. in History of Art from Syracuse University. Glen is an active member of the American Library Association (ALA) and Core divison within ALA. He has previously served on committees and boards with the North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG), American Library Association (ALA), Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS), OCLC Research, the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC), and the Oxford University Press.  Glen has taught online and in-person about cataloging, digital library metadata, and archival metadata issues like EAC-CPF, RDA, FRBR, and FRAD through organizations like LYRASIS, Social Network and Archival Context (SNAC), Syracuse University School of Information Studies, and the University of Albany’s Department of Information Studies.
