Head of Systems & Information Systems Librarian
Leland Deeds joined the University of Miami Libraries in 2014 as the Head of Systems. His department provides support for many of the libraries automation systems, desktop computing and A/V support. Leland previously held positions as the Librarian for Academic Computing Support at Union Presbyterian Seminary and as the Access Services Librarian in Clemons Library at the University of Virginia.
Leland earned his MSIS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He also holds a B.A. from Bard College and a M.T.S. from Emory University, both in Religious Studies.
Leland is a member of ALA and ACRL. He has served on committees for both SirsiDynix's and Ex Libris' user groups, as well as terms on the steering committee for the American Theological Library Association's Public Services Interest Group and the Professional Development Committee.
