Erica Newcome is the STEM and Interdisciplinary Research Librarian at the University of Miami Libraries. She has a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and Resources Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to arriving at the University of Miami Libraries, she worked for the Earth Sciences & Map Library at UC Berkeley.
Ms. Newcome is the liaison to the College of Engineering along with the departments of Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. She is dedicated to supporting academic research by providing consultative and instructional support for students, faculty, and researchers. In addition, Ms. Newcome is passionate about promoting STEM disciplines to underrepresented groups.
