Learning & Research Services Librarian
Lauren Fralinger received her Master’s of Library Science from Indiana University, and joined the University of Miami Libraries in June of 2013 as a Learning and Research Services Librarian. She currently serves as the liaison to the departments of Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Women and Gender Studies, and the School of Education. Lauren provides information literacy instruction, collection development, and research services to her liaison departments.
Lauren currently chairs the UM Libraries Undergraduate Engagement Committee and coordinates the Pop Culture Series and the annual Banned Books Week events. She is also responsible for the library’s collection of juvenile literature.
Ms. Fralinger is a member of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).
